Famed Hollywood stylist to the stars asks us to send sexy plus size cocktail dresses from the Sydney's Closet Signature Collection for a super celebrity to wear on the red-carpet at a premiere in August. Wish we could share names, but we're sworn to secrecy!

Cattin' Around on the Set

Our friend and fan Catherine Schuller dropped in on the set of our NYC photo shoot with her camera man to get a sneak peek at our Spring 2010 collection for her Cattin' Around series. We took one look at the gorgeous blonde with fabulous curves and wisked her off to hair and makeup so she could model our new collection of Mother of the Bride dresses in plus sizes. Good thing it wasn't a real wedding. Catherine would have upstaged the bride she looked so glam - especially in the champagne lace mock two-piece with long sleeves!

It's a wrap! Finished a fun, frantic and fabulous photo shoot at Dream Studios in New York. Thanks to our amazingly talented crew for capturing the true glamour of the new Sydney's Closet Signature Collection of Prom 2011 dresses, cocktail dresses and formal dresses!

Actress Phyllis Smith Shops at Sydney's Closet

Thanks to actress Phyllis Smith from "The Office" for shopping with us today at our St. Louis store. Phyllis, in town for a short trip to see family, left a very happy customer with two fabulous frocks she 'll wear this fall on the Hollywood party scene.
This is the second time we had the honor of personally helping Phyllis in our flagship store. Last year Phyllis looked very glam on the red-carpet at the Emmy Awards wearing a silver metallic evening gown from Sydney's Closet.

Fashion Coup! Actress Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe opted for "Good Times Roll", a sexy cocktail dress from Sydney's Closet Signature Collection (SCSC) when she stepped out on the red-carpet at the 2010 BET Awards after bash at a trendy Beverly Hills restaurant. The original Empire A-line design, in waves of purple, cream and black satin, makes a bold fashion statement perfect for a young, hip actress to look very glam for a big Hollywood night out! Top designers nationwide compete to dress the talented star of the award-winning film "Precious". So Sydney's Closet considers it a real honor that Ms. Sidibe selected an original SCSC design for such an important event!

Tyra Names Winner Teen Model Search

Congratulations to Sheridan Watson, the 17-year-old winner of Tyra Banks' "Fiercely Real Teen Model Search." The curvy teen from New Jersey wears a Size 14. Tyra, in an effort to redefine "plus size", renamed that fashion industry term "Fiercely Real". Maybe she's onto something. Afterall, the average American woman weighs 144 pounds and wears a Size 14.

Look for Sheridan to appear on the pages of Seventeen magazine and for Tyra to continue the search for for a curvy teen model model again next year.
