Making Prom Dreams Come True: Happy Customer Fanmail

First off I just would like to say thank you, so much for making my prom AMAZING. As a plus size girl I always struggle to find nice formal outfits (specifically dresses), and it doesn't get any easier being a teenager. You want to look young, sexy, modest, and yet fashionable but most of the time you are limited to the clothes you find for older women.

I came to Sydney's Closet, after spending weeks searching for a place that carried prom dresses in my size. I didn't want to order a dress that I couldn't try on in the store. Prom is a really big thing in high school and I didn't want to risk it. I bought the "Strike it Rich" gown, and I received so many compliments on it. I really felt like a "goddess". In fact, I don't think that there were many who looked as "classy" as I did. I even got a compliment from a girl who I didn't know! Thank you Sydney's Closet, you can bet that I'll be using your services again in the future.

Sincerely,

Jean

Prom 2009 Short Story

With the countdown to Prom 2009 underway, the short Prom dress stands out as a a top trend. Never before have soooo many teens opted to hike the hemline of their prom dress to the knee or just below the knee. No wonder short Prom dresses are flying out the door. The look is super fun and flirty. Best of all, you get a dress to wear again!

Sheer Delight, a short A-line dress with an Empire waist, ranks as the bestseller with a close tie for second place to No Frills, a taffeta with cap sleeve seen in Teen Prom, and City Lights, a sequin A-line that dazzles.

Congrats to the Grads

Congratulations to our fashion interns, Chelsea Murphy and Ai Nuygen, who earned their degrees in fashion from Washington University in St. Louis last week. We'll miss the super talented designers who got us a head start designing 2009 Prom dresses from fairy-tale ball gowns to body-hugging mermaid styles to just plain cute prom dresses. Look for the 2009 prom dresses to be part of our expanding Sydney's Closet Exclusives collection.

Ai goes to work this summer an intern for a St. Louis company that creates custom swimwear to fit your body. Chelsea is already interviewing at a St. Louis shoe company. Watch for each of them to go onto fabulously successful careers in fashion. Best of luck girls and keep connected!
